SIMPLE PRESCRIPTIONS FOR PARADIGM SHIFTS
IN YOUR PRACTICE + LIFE
You deserve to feel better, too.
Stop looking for balance & find harmony
You’ve put so much time and effort into your career helping people. Thousands of dollars and years of your life devoted to this work. Along the way, you’ve checked all the boxes and done everything on the list.
You’ve got the dream job, so why do you
always feel so bad?
Why do you dread going to work?
Why are you left feeling –
“Wait, is this it?”
You love helping your patients, but you keep wondering when all that time and effort will start paying off. When will you feel HAPPY? Is that even possible?
It’s not just you, and you aren’t experiencing this alone. The culture of medicine needs a paradigm shift: less overwork, overextending, and burnout to the point of shutdown. More taking care of yourself so you can care for everyone else and enjoy your life.
That’s where I come in.

Hi, I’m Dympna Weil,
a physician wellness advocate, writer, coach, and speaker.
Connector, Traveler, and Lover of Shoes
A native New Yorker, I am a human, a doctor, wife, mother, daughter, friend, creator, connector, writer, Master Coach & Irish dancer. Yup, like in Riverdance (except more traditional and less glam). As a board-certified OB/GYN, I’ve had the privilege of caring for women & their families at such a pivotal and special time in their lives. After years of joyfully serving my patients and others in my life, and delivering thousands of babies, I had been chasing the elusive work-life balance for years - only to realize it did not exist. No wonder burnout and I are old friends.
It wasn’t until I was forced into stillness six months into the pandemic that things truly shifted. Moving from physician into the role of patient was not easy - nor was managing debilitating dizziness, motion sensitivity, imbalance, and disequilibrium. I found an opportunity to reconnect with myself and began to cultivate self-compassion and kindness. Experiencing the power of mindset shifting and other coaching skills first hand, I recognized how these skills would have served me in past chapters of my life. Now I serve other high achieving, self-flagellating, professional, multitaskers - especially my colleagues in medicine - to help them listen deeply to themselves and find their joy, peace, and harmony. I am is a certified Martha Beck Master Coach, certified with the ICF at the ACC level, a Level 1 Reiki practitioner, and is a certified Irish dance teacher.
Fun fact: I backpacked through Europe with my aunt & uncle when I was 13 and I’ve loved to travel ever since.

You don’t need to reach a breaking point to have a breakthrough.
You don’t need to have a crisis to find clarity.
IT’S TIME TO WRITE A NEW PRESCRIPTION…
A PRESCRIPTION FOR POSSIBILITY.

HOW WE CAN CONNECT
-

-
My signature group program explores how our culture, especially medicine, lauds the thinking brain over feeling & why this disconnect is so important to wellness. Then we look at various ways to reconnect the two. Compassion is in short supply - self-compassion even more so. Among physicians, it is necessary and harder to find, is not something we learn in medical school, and is not generally modeled in our training.
It is, however, both critical and possible to learn.
How can anyone be expected to provide and give their best care when they are not taking care of their own needs? They can’t.

Hey - let’s stay in touch! We all get stuck in our own heads from time to time, and I find that reminding myself that it’s PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION that moves us forward often helps unstick the sticky thoughts. In my PROGRESS NOTESyou’ll get a little bit of story, a little bit of mind hacking, and a whole lot of honesty and support as you set out & consider all that is POSSIBLE for you - and then make it happen!

Check out my newsletter, PRESCRIBING POSSIBILITY™ on SUBSTACK. There you’ll find my current thoughts, ideas, and writing as I venture into podcasting and continue working on my BOOK.
